Some Pender Islanders dined on neighbouring Mayne Island last week, and visited the lovely Japanese Garden prior to dinner. The garden is beautiful at any time of year, and sublime in late spring. The reds and greens and designs of pond lily leaves caught my eye, as did the purple iris 'framed' by pink in the second image below.
